Tricorona wins tender to develop and purchase carbon credits from two geothermal power projects in Indonesia
Tricorona has been awarded the tender by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero), to develop and purchase carbon credits from 30 MW Karaha Bodas Unit 1 and 30MW Kamojang Unit 5 geothermal projects in West Java Province in Indonesia.
With a combined installed capacity of 60 MW, these power plants will supply electricity to the Jamali grid and are expected to generate about 342,000CERs per annum. PGE has the mandate to develop 15 geothermal business working areas in Indonesia with a total installed potential of 8,480 MW. Tricorona will undertake the CDM development of these projects through its local partner, PT Green Air Solution (PT GAS).
