Tricorona awarded public procurement contract by the Belgian State

Tricorona has been awarded the public procurement contract ‘Joint Development of a Small Scale Hydro Programme of Activities in Rwanda in a risk and reward sharing structure’ by the Belgian State, represented by the Directorate General for the Environment, Climate Change Section.

Tricorona will act as the CDM developer and expert including building the business case to insure a take-up of participants and to leverage economies of scale where possible for the successful implementation of hydro power projects in Rwanda, resulting in real and measurable emission reductions under the Clean Development Mechanism.

The joint action aims at improving the geographical distribution of the Clean Development Mechanism whilst supporting Rwanda in its ambitious strategic objectives for the energy sector.
