Tricorona attends Carbon Forum Asia as Gold Sponsor

This year’s edition of the annual Carbon Forum Asia was held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on November 2-3 and drew 1,028 participants including carbon market players, policy makers and industry analysts. The conference presented attendees with a comprehensive view of the prevalent trends and vital issues affecting carbon trading markets across the globe.

Tricorona was, once again, a Gold Sponsor of the event, with staff from Stockholm, Beijing and Singapore participating in the conference. Furthermore the Gold Standard Foundation was invited to participate as a co-exhibitor at our stand to show both organizations’ commitment towards higher sustainability in projects.

Susanne Haefeli-Hestvik, Technical Director at Tricorona, moderated a session on standardized baselines and the scaling-up of carbon crediting in Least Developed Countries and other underrepresented regions.

Furthermore, Tricorona hosted a side event titled “Premium Carbon Credits Post 2012”. The side event brought together a panel of experts who analyzed and discussed different post-2012 CDM scenarios and the role of premium carbon credits in these markets.  The panel consisted of Trevor Sikorski, Director of Carbon Markets and Environmental Products Research at Barclays Capital; Geoff Sinclair, Head of Carbon Trading at Standard Bank; Adrian Rimmer, CEO of the Gold Standard Foundation and Moe Moe Oo, Managing Director at Tricorona.

Moe Moe Oo says of the conference “At Carbon Forum Asia 2011, we had another successful year and met our objectives of meeting new clients, participating in key discussions, and letting the market know that we are still committed to developing new CDM projects”.
