Our Business
Tricorona is a global developer of emission reduction projects and a trader of carbon credits, with offices in Stockholm, Beijing and Singapore.
In the primary market, Tricorona develops projects that reduce CO2 emissions, or their equivalent, in developing countries. In the secondary, or trading market, Tricorona trades CERs on the international commodity exchanges or bilaterally with established counterparties.
Tricorona was an early mover in the carbon market and has developed one of the largest portfolios of CDM projects in the world. The emission reductions generated from these projects are used both in the compliance market as well as in the voluntary market.
Origination & Implementation - Tricorona’s Project Origination & Implementation team has successfully sourced, developed and registered over 160 CDM projects that have issued a combined total of over 20 million Certified Emission Reductions. Tricorona’s success in developing CDM projects was acknowledged in Thomson Reuters Point Carbon’s annual Carbon Market Awards where Tricorona was named Best Project Developer. Tricorona has further been ranked as the world’s second most active buyer of CDM projects by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
Sales & Trading - Tricorona trades a variety of carbon credits, including EUAs, CERs, ERUs, AAUs and VERs and can provide clients with a unique overview and insight into the carbon market. Our services include trading, risk management, sales, marketing and commercialisation strategies.
Voluntary Offsetting and Climate Services - Tricorona’s Climate Service team works with individuals and corporations and helps manage and reduce their climate impact through a wide range of services, including carbon offsetting from Tricorona’s own portfolio of CDM projects.
