Tricorona regularly participates as a sponsor and exhibitor in CARBON EXPO held yearly in Cologne or Barcelona, in CARBON FORUM ASIA in Singapore and in Thomson Reuters Point Carbon’s CARBON MARKET INSIGHTS. Tricorona’s staff members are invited as keynote speakers and to moderate high level sessions at these events.
Tricorona is a frequent participant in the GOLD STANDARD ACADEMY held in Europe or in Asia. The Academy is organized annually and Tricorona staff members are invited as speakers to share our experiences with the Gold Standard.
Tricorona regularly participates in business delegations arranged by the Swedish Trade Council and the Swedish Business Association of Singapore (SBAS) to meet high level business leaders throughout Asia.
Tricorona has facilitated a WORKSHOP ON FINANCIAL ANALYSIS FOR ADDITIONALITY development in the CDM. The project consisted of four (4) workshops held in Barcelona, Pune and Beijing in May and June 2011. The workshops focused on investment analysis and additionality assessment and were attended by 130 participants from DOEs, project developers as well as the UNFCCC Secretariat.
Tricorona staff organized the workshops in the name of the PD-Forum i.e. ensuring equal and diverse participation in each workshop including representatives from all key players, creating continuous learning experience for medium and advanced knowledge participants where all issues and feedback collected in earlier workshops feed into the future events, culminating in a final summary document with concrete conclusions and action items to improve current guidance. As an example, one concrete outcome of these workshops was that the investment analysis guidance was updated at the 62nd meeting of the CDM Executive Board and a misunderstanding regarding the inclusion of tax shields on interests was cleared. Many senior DOE staff members participated and confirmed the usefulness of the workshops.
